Phnom Penh: This afternoon, Samdech Hun Manet, the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, will preside over the closing ceremony of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport's conference, which has centered on reviewing the work results from 2024 and laying out the directions for 2025.
The conference, which embarked on a two days journey starting yesterday, has been under the leadership of Minister Peng Ponea. The event has attracted leaders from various sectors, including general departments, public enterprise units, and provincial and municipal departments of Public Works and Transport. Importantly, it has also seen attendance from engineering teams responsible for crucial infrastructure projects across the nation.
The Royal Government of Cambodia is operating under the 7th term of the National Assembly, and it is noteworthy that the Prime Minister Hun Manet launched the Pentagon Strategy-Phase 1. This strategy emphasizes five critical priorities: People, Roads, Water, Electricity, and Technology. Each of these pillars is vital for the holistic development of the country, but roads remain at the forefront as a key driver of economic growth, linking rural areas to urban centers and supporting trade and mobility.
